Be Punctual and Prepared – Giving yourself enough time to get to your interview will help you take a deep breath and gather your thoughts.  Arriving late will only have you feeling flustered and not set you up to perform at your best.

Dress the Part – Take time to think what you will wear to you job Interview and dress appropriately for that role.  Most office-based roles you will dress Corporate.  Oh and not too many accessories. 

Introduce – Stand up for greetings and present yourself in a professional manner. Enquire before stepping in to a handshake.  The odds are that your interviewer will appreciate your candour and will likely favour your request following the recent message from the World Health Organisation to NOT shake hands.

Research – Be prepared and know the organisation you are interviewing for.  They are likely to ask you the golden question “What do you know about our business?”

Do not – Answer your mobile phone or have it visible. Switch off before going in for your interview.

Good first impression – Be positive, have good posture and poise.
